Super Spud News has been really um… well… scant lately since life’s responsibilities (and my iPad web app) got in the way. So I figured, why not also include some illustration inspirations that I find? So here is my first: a tribute to Neil Armstrong. It’s so cute. So cartoony. And the layout is so fitting. Rest in peace, Neil Armstrong! Thanks for the inspiration you’ve given to generations!
A super quick video introducing you to my character, Spud. Hidden agenda: promoting my Spud comics iPad web app.
The third and final sneak peek of comic titles (and their covers) included in the launch of the iPad web app edition of my Super Spud digital comics. Just what is up with that Willomina?
The second sneak peek I’m giving today of my comic covers. I’m close to launching the iPad web app edition of my Super Spud digital comics so I’m sharing these with you for fun :)
I’m close to launching the iPad web app edition of my Super Spud digital comics. So I’d like to share with you the covers of the three issues that will be available for launch. Here is the first one.
Taking full advantage of the beautiful, unexpected summertime weather today, I decided to drink my matcha green tea outside while I worked out some sketches on the SketchRoll iPad app.
And quite unexpectedly, a cousin of mine walked by me. After the usual “What are you doing here?” and small talk, I showed her my SuperSpud iPad web app under construction. I didn’t have a ei-fi signal, so I turned on 3G and to my horror — super utter horror — it was taking forever to load the comics.
So, my experiment is a dud under 3G. Of course, I’m trying to load 6MB of graphics. Quite fast on wi-fi though.
Later I pondered if the loading would be any faster over LTE. I won’t know for sure until I find a tester with the new iPad.
